COP27 summit: CSOs seek climate financing adaptation for Africa

Ahead of the 27th Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in Egypt, the Civil Society Organisations from Africa have asked stakeholders to focus attention on finance adaptation issues in Africa.

 

The Executive Director, Pan African Climate Justice Alliance, Dr Mithika Mwenda, said this on Sunday ahead of the official opening of COP27 in Sharma El-Sheikh, Egypt.

 

The Conference, which began on Sunday, November 6, will end on November 18, with world leaders and representatives from about 198 countries in attendance.
